Hey there vagabonds — did you know?! We have a “mobile ambassador” living full-time #vanlife… And guess who it is… Yep! Papa Savas!
In September 2018, my dad picked up his fully outfitted Coachman Crossfit and went on the road 24/7. Since then, he’s put ~66,500 miles on the odometer (and luckily, it’s a Ford!).
Last summer, we decided to make him our traveling rep for The Little Goat House, and went to work getting our branding up and visible on the back of the van.
You can catch Papa Savas in your streets all over the country, and follow along with his travels on his own instagram account, @littlevangoat! Want to see pics of the coolest National Parks, or find out where the best coffeeshops are in literally ANY town? This is the account you need to follow.
For those of you who don’t know, my dad lives with a disability: a degenerative neuromuscular condition. This makes his life on the road even more remarkable and empowering. He’s always happy to give tours of his van (COVID-style, of course!), and to meet new people and talk about his life on the road.
Finally, if you’re thinking of transitioning to van life or if you currently own a Coachmen Crossfit Class “B” van, Papa Savas also runs a facebook group for owners and prospects. It’s a great place to take advantage of the power of collective experience and insight into van life!
Stay tuned for more updates on retired #vanlife… there may be some blogging in the works!
